John DeHaas is an ordained minister in the Universal Life Church.
But you’ll find that he’s not like most other clergy.
Rev. John is authorized to perform weddings and
domestic partnership ceremonies in both
Washington and Oregon.
In Oregon,
you can obtain your marriage or domestic partnership license from
any county. It must be
acquired no more than 60 days before and no fewer than 3 days
before, your ceremony.
Washington
laws are similar. Some
counties let you apply for your license by mail.

Changes
Changing you name is relatively easy.
File paperwork with the county either in person or by mail.
Then wait a week or two to be sure the document has been
recorded. Then you may
return to the county and get a certified copy of your marriage or
partnership license with your new name.
Take it to the DMV first, then the Social Security
Administration, and finally to your bank.
